Welcome 2019 – A full Challenge
With many of us travelling over the break – particularly the Southern side of the world we had agreed to delay the start of the challenge to 1 FEB.
This in theory gives enough time to get a challenging mission out there.
In this our side is fully committed to make this the ultimate challenge for gamers to truly test the skills out there. Towards this we have planned the series so each mission tests a different element of the player much the same way that soldiers are tested in very diverse environments.
With Ops Zeelie out the way and now that everyone can see that comms and the basics will always be the mainstay, we can add more elements to this.
We have asked our challenge team to give us a super realistic map to play on and they have been working flat-out on this – literally and figuratively – and we hope the next three in the series will be out in time.
In addition, the mods guys have progressed us to where we can now play the mission with authentic weaponry and make the experience a one of a kind event that we all can put maximum effort into.
From the RECCE side we have also escalated the contributors so the personal stories that act as inspiration for these missions will be made available on the heritage website. Even though I was part of the conflict for over a decade just listening to it now has given it a new freshness and respect.
